Chicago • FT Nanny in LAKEVIEW, starting in FEBRUARY! (*French-Speaking a huge plus!*)

Thoughtful first-time parents in LAKEVIEW are seeking a FT Nanny to join their family in FEBRUARY! (flexibility with start date into mid-March)

Family has one baby who will be about 4mo at the start. As first-time parents, this whole journey is new for them, so we are prioritizing an empathetic, experienced, and calming nanny who offers a collaborative approach to care and who can really meet them where they are. The family likes to follow evidence-based practices when they are available, and otherwise defer to the wisdom and expertise of their caregiver. They value responsive caregiving, fostering independence and curiosity from an early age, communicating openly, and offering opportunities for their baby to socialize, grow, and thrive in a calm but stimulating environment. In a great walkable neighborhood like Lakeview, there’s ample opportunity to get involved in local classes, library story times, parks, etc. Seeking a caregiver who is ready to jump in when it comes to meeting the baby on his level, engaging with him, narrating the day, anticipating milestones and development. Plus lots of reading, playtime, getting outdoors, music, and exploration!

**Would be a huge bonus if nanny is French-speaking and could support in immersing their little one in a bilingual household, as one parent is French.**

Long-term commitment, minimum of 1 year but ideally much longer.

REQUIREMENTS:  French fluency would be a strong preference, but not required. Must be up to date on Tdap, Covid, and flu vaccines.

START:  Around February 18, 2025. Flexible through mid-March for the right fit!

SCHEDULE:  Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 5:30pm. Guaranteed set weekly pay for 47.5 hours per week.

DUTIES:  Baby’s laundry, supporting with washing and sterilizing bottles, rotating clothes, etc. Maintaining tidy common areas. Assisting with introducing solids and child meal prep down the line. Keeping nursery and diaper bag stocked with necessities.

PAY:  $28-35/hour, gross, depending on experience. $1,435-1,793.75/week, before taxes, for 47.5 hours per week. (~$74,600-93,200 annually).
