Incredibly warm, down-to-earth new parents in LAKE BLUFF are seeking a FT Nanny to join their family in EARLY JANUARY!
Baby girl will be just over 2 months old at the start. This family’s home is rooted in so much warmth, humor, respect, and LOVE, and these parents are eager to partner with a caregiver who is committed to building strong lines of communication and a trust-filled partnership. Both parents are physicians and work outside the home, so it is a non-negotiable that their nanny is highly reliable and flexible, while also being self-starting and proactive, as this role will involve a great deal of autonomy. Schedule will be known at least 1 month in advance. Loving, engaged care for their little girl is the top priority: encouraging curiosity through play, engaged in scaffolding developmental milestones, narrating the day, creating space for socialization and community. As baby gets older, they would love to have plenty of outdoor time incorporated into her day - parks, libraries, walks, classes, beach, you name it!

REQUIREMENTS: Dog-friendly! Personal vehicle required. Must be up to date on Covid, Tdap, MMR, and flu vaccines. Strong infant experience. ***Spanish-speaking a strong bonus!***
START: Around January 4, 2027. Flexible to ease into contract slightly earlier than this, before mom goes back to work.
SCHEDULE: Dual physician household, so schedule is variable but will be known at least 1 month in advance. It breaks down to an average of 40 hours per week (160 hours per month). Shifts will generally be 10-12 hours in length (3-4x per week). Candidate will need flexibility for some early mornings, evenings, as well as occasional weekends and overnights.
DUTIES: Washing/sterilizing bottles, supporting with baby’s laundry, making sure common areas and play areas stay tidy, assisting with food prep for baby as they introduce solids, occasional support with pet care. Additional household support (like errands) would be helpful down the line.
PAY: $32-36+/hour (gross, before taxes), depending on experience. Guaranteed weekly pay of $1,280-1,440+/week for an average of 40 hours/week.
