Welcoming, down-to-earth family in LAKE FOREST is seeking a PT Nanny/House Manager to join their family in LATE AUGUST!

Family has two girls: 4yo and 7yo. This household is bustling and full of energy with two growing girls, and as a whole, their family philosophies are rooted in warmth, consistency, kindness, and joy. We are seeking an energetic and proactive partner for this family who will allow them to feel balanced on the home front. Both parents would love to have the ability to be fully present with their girls after they wrap up their work days, which is why they would greatly value household management support for a portion of each day (things like grocery shopping, errands, family meal prep). Every day can be a little different depending on schedules, activities, etc, so it's important that this person is able to go with the flow, think on their feet, and anticipate needs and changes. 

The Montessori approach has been an integral part of their family for years now; they believe in fostering independence, involvement, curiosity, strength, and self-compassion from an early age. They would appreciate a caregiver who takes a true interest in the girls, engaging with them and learning about their unique personalities and interests. With two active kids, they need a team player and active supporter, someone who doesn't need constant delegation, stays one step ahead, and is able to read the room. Both parents work from home, in separate office spaces, so their nanny/hm will have their own work space too.

Long-term commitment, minimum of 1 year.

REQUIREMENTS:  Up to date on Covid and flu vaccines. Driver’s license and clean driving record; family vehicle provided for work transport. 

START:  August 25th, 2025.

SCHEDULE:  Monday to Friday from ~12:00pm to 6:00pm/7:00pm (with some flexibility). The core hours needed for childcare are from 2:30pm onward each day, and the family can be flexible with when exactly the household management hours take place. Currently, it would be ideal for Mondays and Wednesdays to end later, at 7:00pm, due to the girls’ activity schedule. Guaranteed set weekly pay for 30-32 hours/week.

DUTIES:  Maintaining tidy common areas throughout the day, school pickups and activity drop-offs in family vehicle, supporting with homework as needed. Household management hours can be totally flexible and will involve regular family meal prep, laundry, grocery shopping/ordering, running errands, making lunches, light organizing around the house, rotating clothes by season and size, household inventory, etc.

PAY:  $32-38/hour (gross, before taxes), depending on experience. Guaranteed weekly rate of $960-1,140/week for 30 hours/week. Paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick days!
