Good-natured first-time parents in LINCOLN PARK are seeking a Newborn Care Specialist (LOCAL) in EARLY TO MID OCTOBER for 3-month term!
This friendly, down-to-earth couple is so excited to welcome their first little one (a baby girl!) in October 2025! We are looking for a newborn care provider who is highly experienced, warm, flexible, and open-minded. A sense of humor is a huge plus! :)
The NCS will lead the way in establishing healthy sleep/feeding habits for baby, but candidate must be willing to truly empower, educate, and meet these new parents where they are. The NCS should be ready to step in and support however is needed, as there will be a learning curve for everyone. Family does have two large, friendly dogs - dog lovers highly encouraged to apply! LOCATION: Lincoln Park, Chicago
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of professional experience (as NCS, doula, night nanny)
NCS training, preferably through Newborn Care Solutions or another CACHE-accredited program
Experience working with newborns with at least 3 families and stellar references.
Well-rounded experience with newborn care; feeding, sleep schedules, preparing and sanitizing bottles, feeding practices, and helping to achieve developmental milestones.
Up to date on Covid, Tdap, and flu vaccines.

START: Due date October 18, 2025. Willing to start a contract a week or two prior to this in order to secure NCS’s time in the event that baby arrives a bit early.
SCHEDULE: 7 nights/week (12 hours/night) for first 4 weeks of contract. Tapering down to 5 nights/week (12 hours/night) for the next 4 weeks of contract, and then to 3 night/week (12 hours/night) for final 4 weeks of contract. Slightly flexible with this, but definitely would like to include a taper structure. ***Ideally 7:00pm to 7:00am shifts.***
CONTRACT LENGTH: ~12-14 weeks / 3 months (pending exact contract start)
PAY: $40-50/hour, depending on candidate experience. Open to W-2 or 1099 (if candidate has LLC and invoicing structure).
