Busy, professional family in Edison Park is seeking a PT Nanny/House Manager to join their family, ASAP.
Family has one 8.5 year old boy. They are looking for someone who is dependable, energetic, and supportive. The family has an easy-going nature but values structure and respectful boundaries for the child.
Like most 8 year old boys, the child is very active and candidate must enjoy being a kid-at-heart! Most days will involve school pick up, playing games, getting outside, planning play dates, taking him to after-school activities, and supporting during the evening/bed time routines. Also, candidate must be able to provide homework support in a structured yet flexible manner. They would greatly value a candidate who can encourage responsibility, focus, and age-appropriate independence while also giving gentle guidance and patient assistance.
Most of the household management support will be able to be accomplished during hours while child is still in school. Duties such as errands, laundry, meal prep, tidying of common areas, etc will be greatly appreciated. Long-term commitment, minimum 2+ years.
REQUIREMENTS: Driver’s license and clean driving record. Personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement and assistance with car insurance payment). Experience with elementary school-aged children.
START: ASAP, but slightly flexible for the right fit.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday from 1:00pm-9:30pm. Guaranteed set weekly pay for 34 hours/week, even though some weeks may end up being less than 34 hours. *Flexibility to work an 8:00am-5:00pm shift on no-school days.
DUTIES: School pick up and transportation to after-school activities. Support homework, dinner and evening routines. Errands, meal prepping, laundry, keeping common areas tidy.
PAY: $34-37/hour (gross, before taxes). Guaranteed weekly rate of $1,156-1,258 for 34 hours.
*Generous 6+ weeks of PTO of family’s choosing (e.g. winter break, spring break, one month in summer). Paid federal holidays, paid sick days, potential health care stipend
