    Family has a nearly 3yo and 10mo baby. Searching for a committed, responsible candidate that leads with professionalism and will encourage education-focused activities and creative projects. A proactive person that sees something missing and handles it. Parents have had a very positive relationship with their past nanny and they look forward to offering trust and autonomy to their next long term nanny. Childcare is the priority, but the second focus would be orchestrating the household, taking initiative, keeping things in order. High preference for a bilingual candidate. Long term emphasis, 1 year minimum but ideally 2-3+ years.

    REQUIREMENTS: Ability to drive family vehicle. Dog-friendly. Covid vaccine. W-2 payment. Ability to be flexible in the evenings beyond 5:30pm.

    PREFERENCE: Fluent in second language.

    SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. Set pay for 45 hours/week as the baseline. Will appreciate the ability to stay late a few nights/week which will often result in ~5 extra hours/week with added overtime.

Newborn Care Specialist Roles

  • Excited first-time parents in OAK BROOK are seeking a (live-out, local) Newborn Care Specialist around **MID-APRIL 2024** for 6-month term!

    Location: Oak Brook, IL

    Start: Around mid-April. Due date April 16th, 2024.

    Schedule: 4-5 overnight shifts/week for the first 3 months of contract. Sunday night through Thursday night. Somewhat flexible with time frames, based on candidate preference (ideally 10-12 hour shifts, 8pm-8am or 9pm-7am). Hoping to transition to 2-3 nights per week around the 3-month mark.

    Contract length: ~6 months

    Pay: $35-40/hour depending on candidate experience.

    (Opportunity for $31,000-$55,000 gross pay, pending candidate schedule preference)

    LIVE-OUT. Sleeping accommodations provided during working hours.

    Requirements:

    2+ years of professional experience (as NCS, doula, night nanny)

    NCS training, preferably through Newborn Care Solutions or another CACHE-accredited program

    Experience working with newborns with at least 3 families and stellar references.

    Well-rounded experience with newborn care; feeding, sleep schedules, preparing and sanitizing bottles, feeding practices, and helping to achieve developmental milestones.

    Job Description:

    Kindhearted first-time parents in Oak Brook are expecting their little one on April 16th. They are very excited, but definitely need some support as their families are far. The NCS will lead the way in establishing healthy sleep/eating habits for baby, but candidate must be willing to truly collaborate and partner with the parents, especially mom. The NCS should be ready to step in and support however is needed, as there will be a learning curve for everyone. Family does have one friendly dog.
