Gentle, even-keeled parents in SOUTH LOOP are seeking a FT Nanny to join their family ASAP!
This sweet family has one child: 16-month-old girl. Seeking an experienced, reliable, and warm nanny who practices present and patient caregiving. Both parents are busy professionals who work hard and take their jobs very seriously, so they need a long-term, dependable partner for their family - someone they know they can trust and count on. Bringing a calm and chill energy to the home is something that is important to them, as well as being eager and proactive when it comes to their daughter’s development, especially the cognitive, language, and socio-emotional components. Lots of hands-on engagement, engaged in scaffolding development milestones, spending time on her level, narrating the day, encouraging outside exploration and curiosity. Values-oriented and research-based approaches; holistic family support. Family also has one small dog.
Long-term commitment, minimum of 1 year but ideally much longer.

REQUIREMENTS: Dog-friendly! **Must be up to date on Covid, Tdap, and Flu vaccines.**
START: ASAP, flexible through mid-December or so for the right fit.
SCHEDULE: Monday 8:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday 8:30am-6:00pm, Wednesday 8:30am-6:00pm, Thursday 10:30am-6:00pm, and on Fridays they need an additional 4 hours of coverage (can be flexible on exact hours based on what works best for nanny). Guaranteed total of 40 hours per week.
DUTIES: Maintaining tidy common areas and play areas throughout the day, supporting with the child’s laundry (washing, drying, folding, putting away), snack and meal prep for the child, cleaning up in the kitchen after use, loading/unloading dishwasher as needed, keeping diaper bag stocked with essentials, etc. Some pet care support greatly appreciated.
PAY: $30/hour, gross, before taxes. Guaranteed weekly rate of $1,200/week, gross, for 40 hour/week baseline schedule.
