Chicago • FT Nanny needed in SOUTHPORT/LAKEVIEW starting ASAP!

Professional, thoughtful first-time parents in SOUTHPORT/LAKEVIEW are seeking a FT Nanny to join their family ASAP!

Baby boy is about 3.5 months old. These new parents are excited to welcome a nanny to their family team who has strong experience and is also able to be flexible / adaptable with them on this new parenthood journey, someone who feels like a true extension of themselves and leads with patience and warmth. It’s important to them that their nanny is familiar and comfortable with developmental milestones, ideally incorporating opportunities for learning, growth, and exploration through playtime, hands-on engagement, and attuned + gentle caregiving. You can envision spending ample time outside and on walks, eventually going to parks, classes, libraries, and more as baby gets older. Strong, thoughtful communication a MUST! Those with impressive infant and toddler experience encouraged to apply. Family has one dog, mini golden doodle.

Long-term commitment, minimum of 1 year.

REQUIREMENTS:  Dog-friendly! Up to date on Tdap and flu vaccines. Driver’s license and safe driving record.

START:  ASAP, with some flexibility to prioritize the right fit.

SCHEDULE:  Monday to Friday, with hours generally falling between 8:00am and 5:30pm. Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, with frequent opportunity for overtime. Flexibility for occasional date night sitting is also a plus!

DUTIES:  Maintaining tidy common areas and play areas throughout the day, supporting with washing / sterilizing bottles, baby’s laundry, loading/unloading dishwasher as needed, food prep for baby and assisting with introducing solids down the line, keeping nursery and diaper bag stocked with essentials.

PAY:  $30-35/hour (gross, before taxes). Guaranteed weekly rate of $1,200-1,400/week for 40 hours. Overtime pay at 1.5x for all hours over 40 in a workweek.
